The company's core is located at the foot of a hill called "GREENHOUSE CARPINE" in m.750 above sea level, where in the '70s the Superintendence of Archaeological Heritage of Basilicata brought to light the remains of an ancient settlement dating back to IV-V century . C. with graves and furnishings now kept in the Provincial Museum of Potenza (the excavation area is just inside the oak grove adjacent to our farms). From here you can leave for excursions to archaeological sites in the immediate vicinity (urban settlement of Serra di Vaglio and the temple of the goddess Mephithis in Rossano of Vaglio all eighth century BC).

In the caves of the farms, which until a few years ago served as a cowshed, you can see even retrieved votive niches in the wall by the ancient pre-Roman inhabitants of the settlement. All around you can find fossils.

In oak forests and nearby nesting hawks, buzzards, kites, bee-eaters, the green woodpecker, the red woodpecker, hoopoe, turtle dove, woodcock, and many other birds.

In the fields around you encounter foxes, martens, weasels, hedgehogs, porcupines and hares.
