The winery Terre Apuan born in Carrara, in the heart of the Apuan Alps with the 2011 vintage.

BETWEEN MOUNTAINS AND SEA

Carrara has already established itself in the world for its fine white marble, but it is not everything. Its Alpine peaks reach 2000 meters above sea level and look at the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea reached in only half an hour drive. A unique environmental combination of its kind.

And it is here that we find the company Terre Apuan that with its cellar situated in the locality Castelpoggio, underground for 34 to 700 meters above sea level is the highest wine cellar in Tuscany if not in all of our Italian wine realities; here with a constant temperature of its wines DOC in its native varieties they are produced and refined with care and passion.

THE VINEYARDS

Its grapes come from two vineyards: the recently planted Pearl and Form High, dating back to Roman vineyard. Both facing south west, overlooking the sea and their processing is almost entirely manual, this is due to their rugged configuration where viticulture takes on an aspect of the whole heroic and where each plant e'unica and as such is reared with care looking to respect its nature, excluding the use of herbicides and minimizing the use of this treatment fitosanitari.Un ambitious project undertaken by Emanuele Cruel which intends to restore value and right employment in this small but precious wine growing area DOC.
