A Social Economy District (SED) is a network in which participants help each other as much as possible to meet your needs of purchase, sale, exchange and gift of goods, services and information, according to principles inspired by an economy local, fair, supportive and sustainable.
SED unite within itself Solidarity Buying Groups, Manufacturerers, Fair Trade Shops, Cooperatives, Non-Profit Associations, sometimes even institutions. Normally a SED groups territorial realities of one or more provinces; on larger scales, however, we often speak of Social Economy Networks.
