WHAT IS "THE MOON IN THE GARDEN"?

"The Moon in the Garden" is a farm Biodynamic and Holiday House.

It comes from our idea as a project to realize the aspiration to live in a peaceful place surrounded by nature, by following a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle, and at the same time to carry out our business activities.

In spring 2007 we bought this old Marche farmhouse, with five hectares of land, near Barchi, 30 km from the Adriatic coast, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the hills between the Metauro Valley and that of Cesano. The renovation of the cottage and adjacent house was built according to green building criteria. The buildings are plastered with lime while the paintings and interior finishes are ecological. To produce electricity and hot water, we use solar energy through both solar thermal panels has photovoltaic panels. In addition, in the winter months, we heat with a wood cooking stove to be totally self-sufficient. The rooms are bathed in natural light coming from large windows and French doors that open onto our garden and the countryside.

The land surrounding the house is cultivated according to biodynamic farming criteria and produces fruits and vegetables with organic certification.

We live and work here in harmony with nature and in the company of our animals (cats, a horse and two ponies).
