BIOBOTTICELLO AZIENDA AGRICOLA BIOLOGICA

BIO BOTTICELLO is a short supply-chain agricultural company specialized in the production of organic and antibiotic-free Parmigiano Reggiano with almost a century of history. Today the brothers Giovanni and Pierluigi Ferrari together with their children and expert collaborators carry on the tradition of our product created by hand with care and passion handed down from generation to generation according to the rigid dictates of the specifications of the Parmigiano Reggiano D.o.P. Consortium.

The fields

We cultivate two-hundred hectares of land, given over exclusively to permanent meadows and alfalfa, in compliance with organic farming regulations and without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.

The breed

We use the fodder produced to nurture our livestock, comprising historical local breeds such as Frisian, brown, and red-pied cows. These are born and reared at the farm, with great care taken over the animals’ welfare, in accordance with EC regulations, and in as natural way as possible. To treat the animals, we use exclusively phytotherapeutic and homeopathic products, but always under strict veterinary supervision.

The milk

All of this is the starting point for the milk; every day we produce around thirty litres of it, with a quality that we transform into organic Parmigiano Reggiano and organic butter.

Our Parmigiano Reggiano is certified organic antibiotic-free since 2016.
