Grazian Emanuela

Gratian are Emanuela and are a distillatrice of essential oils.

Distillation is a process of death and rebirth of the plant that helps the extraction of essential oils, considered divine beings, bearers of important messages for health and human life.

Through the oils help people discover the healing forces of nature and find the connection with the deepest part of himself.

I chose the oils as they are one of the most powerful tools that nature provides for our evolution.

It grows when true lavender from which I get a high-quality essential oil and aromatic water, or hydrosol, the numerous properties. Also it produces oleolites hypericum (spontaneous), hyssop, lavender and helichrysum.

My essential oil, hydrosol and oleolites come from crops of biological plants grown between 650 and 700 m above sea level, in an unspoiled environment, bordering the oasis of the WWF Ghirardi, important SCI (Site of Community Importance) , in the mountain town of Borgo Val di Taro (PR).

I do not use pesticides or herbicides: the only intervention is mowing grass manual. I tried to encourage the spontaneous growth of these plants, as express their full potential, not intervening with fertilization and limiting irrigation only those rescue, the first year of planting.

The plants that result are naturally rich in essential oils and active ingredients than those grown intensively in the plains. This way I reduced the consumption of water and resources and promoted a more suitable to the mountainous area kind of agriculture of this land.

I included other medicinal plants, which will go into production later, more and biological origin, and I have the project to distill those spontaneous to extract essential oils, because they are fascinated by their properties and they have profound effects on body and soul.

I chose not certificarmi bio because I want to devote myself to the plants, and as little as possible to the cards, numerous, this certification requires. Also I guarantee direct my plants and my work and I prefer to keep direct contact with consumers, who want to convey the healing power of nature.
