IL BIONOCETO is part of a farm located in the rolling hills of Basilicata, and since 2002 it has been converted to organic farming.

Two valuable varieties of walnut are grown here:

The "Chandler", highly appreciated for its delicate and pleasantly almond flavor, large caliber, very easy to shell (fingers are enough), high yield of the kernels and light and pleasant "natural" colour.

The "Hartley", also characterized by a medium-large calibre, stands out for its sweet and pleasant taste (and for a nice feature: it is the only nut that keeps standing).

The walnut groves are made with a 7x7 or 7x6 sixth, avoiding extreme forcing, even if more productive. This, together with the particular south-hilly climate, warm but breezy, contributes to the containment of pathologies, in compliance with organic regulations.

All processes, from harvesting to final packaging, are carried out in the shortest possible time and all within the Organic Farm, obtaining a very short supply chain, with cost and transport containment, to the full advantage of the end customer. In a few days, the fruits go from the tree to the package, moving a few meters...Furthermore, the company is powered almost entirely independently by the company's renewable energy plants.
