Its flowers are harvested, as tradition has it, at the moment of its maximum balsamicity, on June 24th and placed in organic extra virgin olive oil for 40 days in the sun.
The active ingredient of Hypericum is released in the oil and the same is colored red.
Called, the MIRACULOUS oil, it was used during the Crusades by doctors to heal stab wounds.
Hypericum oil contains flavonoids, tannins and phloroglucinol (hyperforin) and these are the properties:

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
For external use, St. John's wort oil has no particular contraindications, except for a possible hypersensitivity to the active ingredients, first of all hypericin.
The only recommendation concerns the prohibition of exposure to sunlight or artificial sources of ultraviolet radiation immediately after using St. John's wort oil. In fact, this product is highly photosensitizing, that is, it tends to amplify the effects of the sun's rays on the skin, especially in the case of people with fair complexions or with freckles.
Unlike ingested St. John's wort flower, it does not conflict with hormonal treatments.
Sold in dark packs to preserve the active ingredient that would be damaged in contact with light.

Il Fior di Sale è una tipologia di sale molto pregiato, esso si cristallizza tramite l’evaporazione dell’acqua madre all’interno delle vasche salanti. A differenza del sale esso si forma sulla superficie dell'acqua e non sul fondo. La sua composizione naturale lo rende molto leggero e gli permette di galleggiare. Il Fior di Sale Riserva del Mare viene raccolto da esperti salinai, utilizzando appositi retini nelle prime ore del mattino in assenza di vento, per evitarne la precipitazione sul fondo della vasca. Il suo spessore è di soli 3 millimetri. Pertanto durante la raccolta che si tiene nel mese di luglio, la produzione è molto limitata. Esso viene asciugato naturalmente per mantenere le proprietà inalterate, quali: iodio, magnesio ed altri oligoelementi essenziali per l’organismo umano. Il fior di sale è considerato un bene prezioso molto raro, ha un sapore delicato che non lascia il retrogusto amaro, pertanto è principalmente utilizzato nelle cucine gourmet. Il Fior di Sale mantiene invariate le sue proprietà grazie al suo speciale processo di lavorazione, per tale motivo è possibile utilizzarne molto meno in cucina in quanto ha una salinità molto alta rispetto al sale raffinato.
