Its flowers are harvested, as tradition has it, at the moment of its maximum balsamicity, on June 24th and placed in organic extra virgin olive oil for 40 days in the sun.
The active ingredient of Hypericum is released in the oil and the same is colored red.
Called, the MIRACULOUS oil, it was used during the Crusades by doctors to heal stab wounds.
Hypericum oil contains flavonoids, tannins and phloroglucinol (hyperforin) and these are the properties:

The only recommendation concerns the prohibition of exposure to sunlight or artificial sources of ultraviolet radiation immediately after using St. John's wort oil. In fact, this product is highly photosensitizing, that is, it tends to amplify the effects of the sun's rays on the skin, especially in the case of people with fair complexions or with freckles.
Unlike ingested St. John's wort flower, it does not conflict with hormonal treatments.
Sold in dark packs to preserve the active ingredient that would be damaged in contact with light.

Coltiviamo il grano duro biologico con cura, in Italia, in una filiera tracciata e controllata.
Lo trasformiamo poi delicatamente in semola nel nostro Molino, lo impastiamo con l’acqua di sorgente delle colline intorno a Montebello, e poco alla volta gli diamo forma attraverso le trafile.
La pasta che otteniamo viene essiccata lentamente (7–12 ore a seconda dei formati) a una temperatura di 60-65°, per mantenere quanto più possibile i principi nutrizionali del chicco anche nella pasta.
Molitura, ricetta della semola ed essiccazione lenta danno quindi vita a una pasta che mantiene i sapori e profumi del grano.

Il frumento duro varietà Senatore Cappelli o Cappelli è la prima varietà di grano selezionata già nei primi del ‘900 dal “mago del grano” Nazareno Strampelli, a partire dalla popolazione di grani tunisini Jeahn Rhetifah.
Si chiama così in onore del senatore abruzzese Raffaele Cappelli, promotore della riforma agraria, che aveva esteso la coltivazione del frumento anche a zone non vocate, per rispondere alle esigenze dell’autosufficienza.
Per la sua rusticità il grano Cappelli si adattava perfettamente ai terreni marginali, risultando il grano più coltivato fino al diffondersi delle varietà più produttive e di taglia bassa.
Il Cappelli è un grano con un buon contenuto proteico.
