The PIETRAFITTA stems from IGT to satisfy a specific clientele in search of a wine with more bold colors and the most pronounced characteristics. The bottle is produced from pressed grapes tintilia of the sun, a technique that highlights the characteristics of tintilia more than the SATOR wine, both in freshness and alcohol which in tannins. A wine that is enhanced further with a longer maturation and aging and that in his youth looks gritty and typical. Bottle opening: The color is a beautiful deep ruby red and full. The fruit flavor is clear, but immediately go up the nose tertiary, between the Net is the spice black pepper. Dine you immediately feel the freshness that combines well with the clear alcoholic note (we're talking about a wine with more than 14.5% alcohol) and its tannic component. It 'obvious that it is a "male" wine that is very well turn to roasts and fatty dishes and structured; the final is always pleasantly bitter, as is typical of tintilia. . . and exciting and decided remember. The blend is 100% Tintilia and is grown on only 3 Ha, bred espalier and cordon, 500 meters south facing with excellent ventilation and high temperature range. Few treatments are performed per year with only sulfur and copper, and only when necessary; not having finchi and pest problems due to the altitude, they are not used systemic treatments (who, entering the lymphatic system of the plant, would switch to wine). The yield per hectare on average is only 50 Q / Ha (in certain years also just 35-40 Q / Ha). They do not perform filtering for not stripping the wine and not to lose its typical characteristics. COLOUR: intense ruby red. BOUQUET: intense, hints of red berries and spices evident. TASTE: full, alcoholic note is enveloping and supported by the evident tannic component and a nice acidity that leaves in the mouth a pleasant sensation of freshness. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14.5% vol. AGEING: 7-9 years. LABEL: Pietrafitta derives its name from the country district where the vineyards are located; the same was so called because it is said that only with time and hard work of man has managed to work and cultivate this land too rich in stones. A name that goes well with a strong wine like this.
