Our compotes, unlike jams which are made of citrus fruits only, jams which have a maximum of 30% fruit and jellies which are based on fruit juices, often frozen, are made only with chopped fruit, grown following the synergistic biological method, without any type of pesticide and chemical fertilizer.The fruit is picked on the day of its perfect ripeness in the Maremma sun, it is not blended and filtered.
Sugar is necessary for the preservation, without the need for chemical preservatives, of the compote itself, since Stevia RebA is not a sugar and therefore a natural preservative. 20% of stevia is calculated by evaluating that 1gr of stevia rebA powder is equivalent to 350gr of sugar.
Sant'Egle compotes keep well in the fridge once opened, for about 1 month.
