Il castagno: si coltiva in zone di media ed alta montagna. Il fiore è un lungo grappolo giallastro.
Fioritura: da giugno a luglio.
Colore: da ambrato a quasi nero.
Stato fisico: cristallizzazione in genere assente o a grossi cristalli.
Odore: forte e penetrante.
