In un passato non troppo lontano, venivano consumate dai lavoratori nelle campagne. Le mandorle infatti forniscono un elevato apporto energetico al nostro organismo senza però appesantirlo. In questo modo i nostri nonni, che in una giornata lavorativa arrivavano a consumare anche 5000 calorie, potevano ricaricarsi mentre continuavano a lavorare. Anche le donne in gravidanza traevano grande giovamento dal consumo di mandorle e non avevano bisogno di integratori di alcun tipo.

Produced exclusively with our sicilian almonds from natural and sustainable agriculture, without the use of chemicals. Store in a cool, dry place. Vegan. Non GMO. HOW TO PREPARE THE SICILIAN GRANITA: Put the almond and pistachio paste and the water in a container (Recommended doses, 500 ml of water for the 200 grams paste or 1250 ml of water for the 500 grams paste), mixed and store in the freezer for 6 hours. Mix from time to time during crystallization. Take the container out of the freezer a few minutes before serving. Advice: You can add sugar, milk or spices to taste (For example cinnamon). HOW TO PREPARE THE ALMOND AND PISTACHIO MILK: Put the almond and pistachio paste and the water in a container (Recommended doses, 500 ml of water for the 200 grams almond paste or 1250 ml of water for the 500 grams paste), blend well until the paste is completely melted. Pour almond and pistachio milk into a bottle and place in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. Keep in the fridge at least 3 days. Shake well before serving.
